Fig Yoga was first coined by Newton’s students. It became a catch phrase: “going to Fig yoga.” Fig Yoga is Newton’s unique style of yoga. Poses are held longer for you to understand each pose and how your body relates, responds, and adapts to each pose rather than rushing through them. Fig Yoga will challenge you mentally & physically, but at the completion of your practice you will feel as if you made a huge accomplishment for the day. Beyond the physical, Newton’s ability to connect and encourage his students with his hands on approach is what makes his style so great. His style pushes you past inflexibility towards endurance & tranquility.
Fig yoga is designed to strengthen the mind; tone & open the body; builds stamina, endurance and awareness. It is a great way to detoxify the body and flush away toxins with your sweat.
